Soothing & protecting the stomach lining 养护胃黏膜

Gut Health & Protection 肠道·护胃 early evidence
What the evidence says:
Deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) has some evidence for indigestion and mouth ulcers; ginger settles the stomach; honey coats and soothes. Gentle helpers — not a fix for ulcers or reflux that need proper diagnosis.

How to make it

DGL before meals for indigestion; ginger tea for queasiness; a little honey in warm water for a raw throat/stomach. Identify and reduce triggers (alcohol, NSAIDs, very spicy/fatty food).

Why it works

Smaller, regular, warm meals suit a sensitive stomach.

Classical source

甘草 harmonises and protects the middle burner; 生姜 warms and settles the stomach.

Cautions: Regular licorice (not DGL) raises blood pressure. Persistent reflux, pain, or black stools need medical review (ulcer, H. pylori, other).
